Though perhaps not what it’s known for, Quebec is wonderfully suited to raising ducks. With sandy soils, ample natural water, and a relatively humid climate, descendants of late-nineteenth century Chinese Peking Ducks have always thrived in this area. This natural predisposition is paired with rigorous and thoughtful care for the birds. They are fed a hormone and steroid-free diet of corn, wheat, and soybeans, receiving attention throughout the day while they roam freely in large, open areas.
